Role Overview – Main Duties

123-reg are looking for a star communicator with the ability to utilise technical knowledge, customer service and sales techniques to retain our current customer base.

Handling customers that may be looking to cancel their services for a variety of reasons.

Using objection handling and negotiation skills you will explore the issues leading up to the cancellation request with the purpose of resolving these issues and retaining the services.
To take active steps to enhance our relationship with our customers and to add long term value to our relationship with those customers.
To be aware of and to make all efforts to achieve both individual and team targets.
To inspire customers and colleagues with a positive “can do” approach.
The role will be predominantly handling inbound contact

Skills & Experience

Direct experience in a customer retentions or sales role is not necessary, but advantageous, just as experience within a call centre, customer services or telecoms background.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent customer care and service skills, strong organisation and multi-tasking skills and a customer focused attitude.
Interest in or understanding of DNS is desirable.
Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential and target driven, self-motivated individuals will thrive in this role.

Full training will be provided on our products and processes

This is a full time role and successful candidates will be required to work a standard 40 hour week (9.00am to 5.30pm)

Overall Responsibilities

Collection of outstanding debt via telephone, email and letter
To follow the credit control processes as set and suggest improvements where justifiable.
To process credit\debit card payments (and update details) from emails received and telephone calls made.
To maintain sales ledger this includes processing direct debits, cheques and BACS payments and chargebacks.
To complete other daily credit control administrative and ad hoc duties

To liaise closely with other departments to ensure barriers to payment are minimised/eliminated.

Heart Internet help school leavers launch their IT careers

UK web hosting company Heart Internet (www.heartinternet.co.uk) are giving 16-18 year olds the chance to kick start their career with a paid apprenticeship in IT.

The scheme, in conjunction with the National IT Partnership (the NiTP) and New College Nottingham, will see a regular intake of 16-18 year olds gaining valuable experience of working in the web hosting industry whilst also working towards a level three IT apprenticeship.

The apprentices will have a mix of on the job learning alongside their studies at college to complete the year-long programme, with a view to gaining a full-time position within the company at the end of the course.

“We are thrilled to offer this fantastic opportunity to school leavers looking to get ahead in the job market. The skills they learn with us will be extremely valuable and could be the first step in a long and successful career in IT” said Heart Internet director Tim Beresford. “Not only will they learn skills specifically associated with web hosting, but they will also get a broad range of other experiences to transfer into future positions.”

According to official figures released in January, more than 1.3 million 16-18 year olds are currently in education, training or employment in England, the highest number in over a decade thanks to schemes such as this.

Helene Hazell, recruitment executive for NiTP, said that whilst these figures show a step in the right direction, it is important that companies continue to work with young people to help them get ahead in the world of work: “It’s great that we are seeing youth unemployment drop slightly, but it is only with the help of people like Heart Internet, who are prepared to invest in the next generation of workers, that we will no longer see youth unemployment as a problem.

Nominet Registrar Services selects Domainbox.com to run .wales / .cymru reseller platform

London – 30^th April 2013 – Domainbox.com, the cloud based wholesale domain name registration and management platform owned by the Host Europe Group, today announces its selection by Nominet Registrar Services Ltd (NRS), the subsidiary set up by Nominet to provide a reseller system for .wales and .cymru domains.

.wales and .cymru are due to launch as part of ICANN’s new Generic Top Level Domain (gTLD) programme (http://newgtlds.icann.org/) in early2014. The reseller system will allow registrars who are not ICANN accredited to resell .wales and .cymru domain names via Nominet Registrar Services Ltd, a subsidiary company set up by Nominet to provide reselling opportunities. The Domainbox.com platform will allow resellers to register and manage domain names seamlessly via a comprehensive SOAP and/or EPP based interface or via a Web 2.0 administrative portal.

Based on their wholesale domain platform, which was acquired in May 2012, BrandFortress delivers an easy Web 2.0 user interface and expert account management to SMEs, taking the headache out of owning, managing and renewing all their domain names. Customers also benefit from improved accountability with the inclusion of credit accounts, variable permission levels and extensive user controls.
